The ergonomics of dumping trash without getting hurt

Lifting a full commercial trash can is one of the worst moves a body can make on the job: you bend, you reach away from your torso, you twist, and you do it with 80 to 100-plus pounds. Federal NIOSH guidance puts a safe one-person lift at about 51 pounds under ideal conditions — and dumping a can over a dumpster lip is nowhere near ideal.

That's the whole reason the Dump Dolly exists. The dolly does the part that wrecks backs and shoulders. You roll it to the can, latch on, and the crank or the push-button lift takes the load to the top of the dumpster. The worker guides it — they don't carry it.

If your operation caps one-person lifting at 30 to 50 pounds (a lot do now), a full can is over the line every single day. One machine takes that lift off your people for good.

See the models or watch a full can go up and over — one person on the button.
